Takes place at the “Georgios Pappas” Outdoor Theatre and at the Ypsila Alonia Square in Aigio, Achaia. With the participation of dance groups from Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Philippines, Togo, India, Serbia, Bulgaria, Georgia, and of course, groups from Greece and the Municipality of Aigialeia.
- 3rd World Congress on Olympism and Folklore
The effort made and being made by the Olympism Culture Centre”Kostis Palamas” and the Association of Fine Arts Patras “Kostis Palamas,” supported by International Organisations, to have the Olympic Hymn recognised as a cultural heritage monument by UNESCO, will be presented.
The main speakers will be Greek Olympians and sports figures:
- Demosthenes Tabakos – Olympic medalist in the long jump
- Katerina Thanou – Olympic medalist in the 100m
- Athanasia Tsoumeleka – Olympic medalist in the 20km race walk
- Dr. Theodoros Mallias – President of the Association of Fine Arts Patras “Kostis Palamas” – Audiovisual Presentation – Video Projection
