Hercules or Alcaeus or Alkeides (original Greek: Heracles, from the name Hera and the suffix -klis of the noun “kleos” = glory) was an ancient mythical hero, considered the greatest of the Greek heroes. He was born in Thebes and was the son of Zeus and Alcmene.
