Leonidas I was an ancient Greek who served as king of Sparta from the Agiadian dynasty. His father was King Anaxandrid II (or Alexandridas), who had four sons: Cleomenes by his second wife and three sons (Dorieas, Leonidas, Cleombrotos) by his first wife.
