Aftermath of Book Presentation – “Life Opportunities” by Filippos Zaharis

THE “GALLERY ODEIO” OF THE CULTURAL AND OLYMPIC CENTER “KOSTIS PALAMAS”

hosted the presentation of the new book by the acclaimed journalist and author Filippos Zaharis, titled “Life Opportunities”.

A commemorative presentation was also held of the illustrated volume of the Association of Fine Arts of Patras “Kostis Palamas”, titled “The Artists Create Culture”, by writer Theodoros Mallias, offered in honor of the distinguished journalist–author.

On Saturday, 13/12/2025, in the elegant hall of “Gallery Odeio” of the Cultural and Olympic Center “Kostis Palamas”, attendees experienced through the presentation of the book “Life Opportunities” the deeper meaning and messages of the Art of Words, as well as the expressive power emerging from the symbolism of the author’s narratives, on the path toward the cultivation and redefinition of the purpose of life. “When life gives us opportunities, we must make use of them.”

“Life Opportunities” addresses those who wish to rediscover the lost meanings of the past, so that they may serve as a bridge toward a “new life” through the potential offered by existence itself.

The presence of notable figures from the fields of education and culture, such as Emeritus Professor and former Rector of the University of Patras Giorgos Panagiotakis, Emeritus Professor of the University of Patras Sifis Bouzakis, and distinguished educator and curator of the Museum of School Life in Chania, Ms. Maria Drakaki, enriched the discussion with diverse analytical perspectives, illuminating aspects of our personality that concern each one of us.

The event was organized under the auspices of the magazine “Patrinorama”, with key contributors the distinguished journalist Eftychia Lampropoulou and founder–owner Theodoros Papavasileiou, who presented a spiritual gathering full of thought, ideas, and emotion.

The President of Gallery Odeio of the Cultural and Olympic Center, Ms. Georgia Yachou, and the President of the Association of Fine Arts of Patras “Kostis Palamas”, writer Theodoros Mallias, presented the commemorative volume “The Artists Create Culture” to the guest author Filippos Zaharis, in recognition of his significant contribution to Letters and Culture.

This edition also included a historical record of the preservation and promotion of the House of Palamas and the international Olympic movement of the Association of Fine Arts of Patras “Kostis Palamas”, as part of efforts for UNESCO recognition of the Olympic Hymn as a World Cultural Heritage.
