Gypsy -Papatheodorou Xaris

Haris Papatheodorou was born in Patras, the son of the well-known painter Grigoris Papatheodorou.

From an early age, his inclination toward painting became evident, and alongside his father he was involved in and trained in church decoration, painting, stage design, as well as carnival constructions.

In 1977, together with his father, he frescoed a large section of the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary of the Greek Orthodox Church in London.

His initial main activities included portrait painting, stage scenery, decorative design, carnival constructions, as well as works exhibited in private galleries in Athens.

Today, he maintains a studio and works mainly on murals for houses and other buildings throughout Greece.

He is also active in sculpture, with works installed in the “Ygeia” Hospital, as well as in various private residences in Athens, Patras, and elsewhere.

Over time, positive reviews of his work have been published in newspapers and art magazines.

Since the age of 15, he has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

A large number of his paintings adorn public spaces and private collections.
