Evgenia Fotopoulou has served as a professor of Greek and English Philology. For many years, she worked in public education, transmitting to her students a love of language, literature, and culture.
Alongside her teaching career, she pursued painting as a self-taught artist. She primarily creates oil paintings and has also dedicated herself with particular devotion to Byzantine iconography. Her works are characterized by strong inspiration from nature, with emphasis on light, color, and harmony—elements that convey serenity and inner balance. Her artistic style shows influences of Romanticism combined with Impressionism.
In her iconographic work, her creative path is, as she herself believes, accompanied by divine grace and assistance, which imbues her works with spirituality and deep respect for the Orthodox tradition.
Many of her works are placed in medical offices and professional spaces, offering aesthetic uplift and calm to viewers. Her artistic creation is a natural continuation of her educational and spiritual journey, combining knowledge, faith, and love for art.
