ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
He was born in Tripoli, Arcadia, in 1945. In 1960, he moved to Athens. He studied Graphic Arts at the Athens School of Technology (ATI) under A. Tassos, I. Dekoulakos, and D. Mytaras.
In 1968, he founded and directed the Applied Arts Workshop “Morphi” (Form). In 1974, he abandoned applied arts and devoted himself entirely to painting.
He has held 53 solo exhibitions in Greece, France, Belgium, England, Spain, and Cyprus. He has also participated in numerous group and thematic exhibitions in Greece, Cyprus, the USA, Canada, Australia, England, France, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Iceland, and Bulgaria.
He has illustrated books by Greek authors and published literary texts in various magazines. He has also been involved in folklore studies and the visual arts of the Shadow Theatre (Karagiozis), including “Figures” and “Stage Sets” (Hermes Publications, 1975–1976).
In 2000, his novel “Goodbye Forever” was published by Kaktos Editions.
His works are held in the National Gallery, the Ministry of Culture, public and private museums, as well as private collections in Greece and abroad. His works have been included in the catalogues of Sotheby’s and Christie’s in London and Amsterdam.
He lives and works in Athens.
