Description

The painter was born in Athens in 1967 and originates from Sela, in the Municipality of Rio.

In her place of birth and residence, she completed her studies in economics in 1986, while simultaneously working in her father’s family business.

She married in 1991 and had four children. In 1997, she returned to her place of origin, where she continues to live to this day.

From an early age she loved painting, and at the age of 12 she attended lessons with distinguished artists. She recalls that at just 4 years old she created her first painting on canvas using oil paint.

In 2004 she began working professionally as a painter. She participated in group exhibitions and organized her first solo exhibition at the Mansion of Literature and Arts in 2006, an exhibition that received highly favorable reviews from critics and art lovers alike.

Her subjects are drawn from everyday life—faces, human figures, the animal kingdom, and the inexhaustible and limitless inspiration of nature.

Through Georgia’s brush, a vibrant feast of colors emerges, with such variety and depth that one often feels transported into an inexplicable aesthetic experience.

She is a board member of the Fine Arts Association “Kostis Palamas”.

Her contribution to the administrative and organizational activities of the Association has been significant, actively promoting its work and cultural initiatives with strong dedication and love for culture and the arts.

She played a unique role in the preservation of the Palamas residence, in the ceremonial lighting of the Olympic Flame at the Palamas house, as well as in the important effort to promote the Olympic Hymn as part of World Cultural Heritage.

She also contributed artworks to the bilingual publication-album dedicated to the recognition of the Olympic Hymn of Kostis Palamas as World Cultural Heritage, titled:
“Olympism – Olympic Hymn – Kostis Palamas.”
